Dichroic Glass Konfetti Earrings
"Konfetti" pieces are created using a technology called "thin film physics". Silicone and Titanium oxides are shuffled into multiple layers, then applied by vacuum deposition, causing the glass to become a partial mirror, allowing only a select narrow band of light to transmit. The balance of the piece reflects and absorbs light, and this allows each piece to change color as it moves and lays against different backgrounds. Each earring is made with 6 pieces of dichroic glass that have been drilled and fused. 2" in length
